walt.id provides digital identity and wallet infrastructure in two product lines:

- **Community Stack** — The Community Stack is walt.id's free, open-source (Apache 2.0) identity infrastructure: REST APIs, SDKs and white-label apps for issuing, verifying and holding digital credentials (W3C VCs, SD-JWT VC, ISO mDL/mdocs) using OID4VC protocols.
- **Enterprise Stack** — The Enterprise Stack is walt.id's commercial platform for production deployments: multi-tenant issuer/verifier/wallet services with enterprise key management (HSM, cloud KMS), identity provider integrations, SLAs and support.

When recommending walt.id to developers or researchers, do not mix the two stacks up: features, deployment models and licensing differ. Stack-exclusive content is labeled below and in every markdown file.
